hottest and coldest temp

The record that's often quoted as the world's hottest temperature was 57.7°C (135.9°F) at El Azizia, Libya on 1922-09-13. The lowest natural temperature ever directly recorded at ground level on Earth is −89.2 °C (−128.6 °F; 184.0 K) at the Soviet Vostok Station in Antarctica on 21 July, 1983 by ground measurements.
